Dossiers age quietly. A paragraph written for last year’s product still claims dual review on every remittance above a threshold, while the floor moved to risk-based sampling six months ago.
Readiness reviews hunt for those contradictions. We read the narrative aloud with the process owner and ask them to produce the artefact named in the sentence. If the artefact does not exist, the sentence needs rewriting — or the control needs rebuilding.
Board packs are another common drift zone. If your licensing story leans on quarterly risk committee oversight, the minutes should show fintech-specific topics, not only group banking agenda items.
Closing the gap early is cheaper than explaining it under a tight submission clock.
